YOUR DOG'S PREY DRIVE
Are your walks currently painful and filled with stress and worry about what might appear around the next corner? Have you come home muddy from being drug, injured fingers or knees, shaken from a near miss with traffic or small off-leash dog? Maybe bicycles or runners are your dog's tipping point?
You aren't alone in your struggle
If these are some of the things you experience when out walking your dobermann, we can help turn that around and have your time together be enjoyable and safe for you and your dog!
With the proper knowledge and training walks and even time spent in your own garden don't have to be filled with nightmarish behaviours from unregulated prey drive. You can help your dog regulate himself around your cat in your home. There are ways your dog can be successful around running children or bikes flying past.
How can you be successful in the face of high prey drive?
We are bringing to you a one-off, course brought to you by two specialists in their field. Tracey McLennan is the UK's leading expert in prey drive managing prey drive in dogs and she joins Sharon Chamberlin, owner of Dobercademy Dog Training & Behavioural Centre, who has made dobermann pinschers and their training and behaviour her specialty.
Together, they have created a course that not only addresses the issues common with prey drive and the handling of dogs' behaviour in the face of it, but also one that is geared specifically toward the challenges that a dobermann owner faces when dealing with high prey drive.

“Hi, I’m Tracey, the founder of the High Prey Drive Club, and I can’t wait to help you and your dog thrive together!
For over 20 years, I’ve lived with and trained high prey drive dogs of various breeds. I love the process of turning challenges into opportunities for connection and joy. I know firsthand how overwhelming it can feel, but I’m here to show you that it doesn’t have to be.
My passion is creating simple, effective methods that make life with high prey drive dogs not just manageable — but joyful. Since 2018, I’ve helped hundreds of dog owners just like you transform their lives with their dogs, breaking free from frustration and finding confidence in their training.
Here’s what sets me apart:
Expertise Backed by Science: I hold a master’s degree in Applied Animal Behaviour and Training (with distinction!) and a BSc (Hons) in Canine Behaviour and Training. I’ve even earned an MA (Hons) in Philosophy, giving me a deep understanding of ethics in dog training.
A Leader in the Field: Modern dog training must align with science—but I don’t stop there. I actively contribute to the scientific understanding of prey drive in dogs through published research in Applied Animal Behaviour Science. I’m also a peer reviewer for the journal, ensuring the latest studies help improve lives like yours.
Real Experience, Real Results: My tried-and-true methods have been developed through decades of success with my own dogs and my clients’ dogs. You’ll benefit from the same proven techniques that have helped so many others.
You and your dog deserve a life of harmony and joy. The High Prey Drive Club is the culmination of my knowledge and experience, designed to give you everything you need to succeed."

I have grown up surrounded by animals and they have been my entire life. During my younger years I evented and competed my horses and trained and competed my own Dobes in obedience, WT and I have also successfully shown at Crufts. I qualified as a dog training instructor in 2008 with Barking Mad Dog Training School & Behavioural Centre in association with the APDT and since then I have regularly studied and I still do study & attend many educational behavioural seminars & workshops annually and subsequently obtained many certificates of qualification in behaviour & training. I believe it’s important to keep myself up to date with the very latest science and teaching methods for our dogs.
I’m also a qualified Scentwork UK Instructor &. Reactivity specialist.
I now specialise completely in Dobermanns who are my chosen breed and my absolute passion, and they are certainly a breed apart. My expertise in the breed means I’m able to understand what’s going on for you and give specific advice around the issues lots of owners I see struggle with in the breed. Often lots of problems owners bring to me for help are natural Dobermann behaviours & I help owners learn that it’s about understanding their dog’s natural needs that create those big feelings & emotions, which of course shows up as behaviour. I provide the knowledge & appropriate outlets for these needs and help owners to live their best lives with their dog. This behaviour, although normal dog behaviour for them, can prove extremely challenging & difficult for us. When owners understand more about the behaviour & learn the skills to help their dog cope, that’s my biggest reward for what I do.
I have a lifetime of hands-on experience, and together with my learning and my qualifications too this means I have a wealth of expert Dobermann knowledge & help to give and share with you.
I’m passionate about our breed and promoting training through kindness knowledge & understanding.
